Boy, let’s see how much fun we can have with this one.
Tim Chaney’s Letter to the Editor From JFA?
There has been much said about the write-in candidate Charles Jannace, splitting the republican party, I know many conservatives that were going to vote for democrat Rick Pollitt, until Charles thru
WHAT KIND OF WORD IS THRU?
his hat into the ring, and gives
SINCE WE ARE WORKING IN PAST TENSE SHOULDN’T THE WORD BE GAVE?
the people another conservative choice. It wasn't his fault that the WCRC didn't utilize there
THEIR
best chance of winning, by putting BJ Corbin out as their front runner, merely because he was younger.
RON ALESSI WON THE PRIMARY. THAT MEANS MORE PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM THAN BJ CORBIN. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE.
I see younger as an asset to the Status Quo that we have become accustomed to.
YOU DON’T BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO THE STATUS QUO. AND HOW COULD SOMETHING LIKE YOUNGER BE AN ASSET TO SOMETHING THAT DOESN’T CHANGE---STATUS QUO?
Like a new years celebration, out with the old, and in with the new. Let's change "Business as usual."Many republicans condemn this write-in, because they are committed to the WCRC, that is who feeds them with political backing, advertising and special interest money. However, when they go vote, there is nothing to say they won't vote for who they really want, to take on the most important position in this county. The republicans really should be disappointed in their parties choice,
THE REPUBLICANS VOTED FOR RON ALESSI IN THE PRIMARY.
who doesn't stand a chance of winning. However in public, they will remain loyal to their party.
CHARLES JANNACE IS A REPUBLICAN… VOTING FOR HIM WOULD BE REMAINING LOYAL TO THEIR PARTY.
As for Rick Pollitt, he's a likeable man, as I have seen, heard and met him at the debates,
PERHAPS A PERIOD WOULD BE BETTER THAN A COMMA HERE.
he seems like he'd be a fun person to be around and a gentleman by all means. The other candidate, well, Mom always told me "if you didn't have anything nice to say, stay quiet." Even though Charles wasn't invited into the PACE debate at the college, at least Rick Pollitt was man enough to come out and shake CJ's hand as an opponent and acknowledge him. What I like about Charles Jannace, is the fact that he isn't just determined, he's angry about the way things have been done in this county and city, regarding mismanaged overgrowth,
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MISMANAGED OVERGROWTH. IT’s EITHER MISMANAGED GROWTH, OR OVERGROWTH.
lack of infrastructure, giving away tax dollars to developers, and like it or not, he stands up and speaks his mind with concrete answers to questions that most people dodge in debates. Many are trying to scare builders by saying Charles wants a moratorium on all growth, that is not so.
PLANK NUMBER ONE FROM WWW.JANNACE.COM- “An indefinite moratorium.” SOUNDS LIKE CHARLES WANTS A MORATORIUM ON ALL GROWTH TO ME.
He is warning this community, that is where we are heading, if we don't harness it now. Annapolis and Westminster townships, both on the western shore had moratoriums mandated, because local developers ran rampant in their towns, and now their infrastructure is overwhelmed. Lets not let that happen here! Thanks to blog administrators, the public got to see the actual documents online, that were not only withheld from the people, but also withheld from members of the city council, documents that are supposed to be available to the public. It took an application by, "The Freedom of Information Act," to acquire what should have been made available upon request, to anyone.
THE PROPER WAY TO GET THESE DOCUMENTS IS BY FILING FIA PAPERS.
Documents that prove the Old Mall was to be demolished by now (Formally condemned July 5, 2005),
THE OLD MALL IS SUPPOSED TO BE DEMOLISHED IN JANUARY 2007. NO DEMOLITION ORDER WAS EVER ISSUED MAKING THE DATE SOONER. CONDEMING A BUILDING DOES NOT MEAN IT HAS TO BE DEMOLISHED. IT MEANS IT HAS LOST IT’S OCCUPANCY PERMIT.
appears to be covering up the deeds done in making the owners of that property to comply with city code, also requests by the Fire Chief determining the Old Mall as a public safety hazard, and himself requesting action. Absolutely no progress was started until these documents became public information. What does the city have to do with a county executive you ask? The city is running illegal pipe stream annexations (Sassafrass Meadows and Marly
IT’S MARLEY, NOT MARLY
Manor) to try and backdoor people into the Salisbury tax base, Salisbury Wants YOU~!!! To be a city taxpayer and will do all they can, to make you a city taxpayer.
IF THIS WAS THE CASE PEOPLE WOULD ACTUALLY BE HAPPY. INCREASING THE TAX BASE FOR SALISBURY WOULD BE GOOD.
We need someone, now more than ever, someone who can stand up and say "Enough!" If you are happy with the direction the county and city are going, then vote for either of the two candidates that the top political committees
YOU MEAN PEOPLE THAT WERE VOTED FOR IN THE PRIMARY, BY VOTERS.
have put up. If you see unanswered rises in crime, overgrowth and are tired of "business as usual," here.
HERE IS WHERE YOU SHOULD HAVE USED THAT COMMA.
Then vote for a change, and vote for Charles Jannace as a write-in candidate for county executive. As a registered democrat, I'm stepping up to say that republicans will get 95% of my votes in this election. The results of this election will probably be the deciding factor in my changing parties in the future,
AHH, THE ELUSIVE QUESTION FOR TIM, COMMA OR PERIOD...
if I don't like the election results, I must retreat, and try to get more viable candidates for my party in the future. If you aren't sure how this write-in process is done, when you go vote, don't be afraid to ask for assistance from the election board personal
PERSONNEL
at the polls, they will be more than happy to help you make the choice that you want to make, and you will need to write in Charles Jannace at the bottom of the ballot, if you should choose the write-in candidate.Whomever you vote for, Kudos to you for voting, please people, get to the polls and vote, if for nothing else, vote for the brave military men and women, who stand guard and put their life on the line, for our right to vote in, "The Land Of The Free, And The Home Of The Brave."
PERHAPS IF PEOPLE WHO WROTE LETTERS TO THE EDITOR, KNEW HOW TO WRITE, OR GOT THEIR INFORMATION CORRECT, THEY WOULD GET PUBLISHED MORE OFTEN.
